Pixilation (Stop Motion)

Image
For this assignment, I created a stop-motion video of my stuffed animals coming to life, hacking into my computer, and discovering all my secrets! My inspiration for this assignment was the childhood movies I've been watching recently, including Toy Story! I made this by myself. I had recorded a video, and then, as I was making changes, I would step out of frame or make a super long pause to make screenshots of the photos I wanted. The hardest part of the assignment came up when I wanted the stuffed animals to do a dolphin dive off my bed onto my desk. I edited myself out of each frame for that since I had to hold the stuffed animals. I was not feeling very creative for a while, so this assignment took longer than usual, but it was fun, and I love these little guys, so I wanted to give them the spotlight.

Autoscopy

For this assignment I took an irregular photo of myself that I liked and put myself into a jungle. I thought that the idea of being placed into the jungle met my shirt very well as well. My current animal obsession has switched from raccoons to snakes, so I wanted to highlight that within the jungle! I added a fake snake tattoo with two snakes circling me. When it comes to the quality of the photo, I wanted to make it seem like this was shot on a disposable camera or an older camera from the 90's or 2000's. An autoscopy is a phenomenon where somebody visualizes their doppelganger, and I think if I had a cooler doppelganger of myself, I'd probably be like Coyote Peterson and find exotic animals.
