Logo/Business Card
(I put it on a Google slide for organization and your viewing pleasure.)
Here is my design for my future business! I had a lot of trouble going through this design, and it took me a hefty amount of time to finally settle on something that I felt 1. looked promising and 2. I had an emotional connection with. In most of my time in the class on Friday, I chose to go with the fun idea of starting an imaginary "Raccoons to Safety" business where I went through various designs; however, having something halfway distant from my heart and a massive creative block when it came to designing the logo; I decided to go a different route and focused on what I cared about. I went through trial and error with many other designs, like a half-cut banana with a cinema wheel within its seeds. But in the end, I chose this half-moth and half-butterfly tattoo idea I have had in my head for a very long time. This company would represent not only the physical part of me but also the mental part since I've had a butterfly at every significant point in my life. Despite the apparent creative block, the most challenging part of this assignment was learning Adobe Illustrator. I've played around and made various things on Photoshop and Premiere for years; however, this was the first time I had ever touched Illustrator. So, I was utterly lost when making 3D objects like a sphere, cylinder, and cone. Overall, this was an excellent opening assignment where I was given the creative space to create my future logo. Who knows! Maybe it'll beat the test of time and stick with me throughout my career.
