Logo/Business Card Cont.
(I put it on a Google slide for organization and your viewing pleasure.)
As previously mentioned in my last post, I had gone through a couple of rough drafts for possible logos. The left of the first slide depicts a raccoon in a raggedy tree with a leaf pile below it. The leaf pile spells "safety", and in the tree, it says "to", which would convey the message of "Racoons to Safety." This logo and design, in general, was too much to look at and overall very messy. I was running into brick walls of raccoon logos and desperately wanted to use negative space somehow, but I had no ideas to incorporate them. At this point, I was ready to move on from the idea, scrap it, and head to a more personal one. When researching solo-film artist logos, I discovered "Lemon Films." Lemon films had a logo with a lemon in it with a cinema wheel incorporated into it. With this reference, I created the idea of "Kyle Productions." The logo is a half-cut banana with a cinema wheel as its seeds. Honestly, I only made this logo because I thought it was creative, and the cinema wheel was a nice touch; however, in no way, shape, or form did it relate to my values or have any personal connection. Above that, there are also so many colors in the image, which would eventually lead to complications in my future with the logo if I had settled on it.
Also, as requested, I tried to warp the Kyle Films logo around the 3D objects to create a more realistic approach to the exercise. I think they still look weird, but with more experience with the application, I'm sure I'll be able to warp the logo onto the objects perfectly. That's all from me; I hope you enjoyed the update!
